Do you have tanned hides
that you wish you could have made into a wallet, purse, moccasins,
jacket or cape? We will custom make any of our products using your
deerskin.
Leather Footage: An average deerskin measures about 9 square
feet. Approximate square footage requirements for all items are shown on
our price list. These estimates are
based upon good quality leather. If the leather you send is poor with
many holes, scars, etc., or if sizes of items ordered are very large,
extra leather may be needed. Please send plenty of leather, as we will
be unable to supply matching leather to complete an order. We will
return any full skins or large pieces of value that we do not use.
Leather Quality: We are only able to create from your leather
as you supply it -- we can not improve or alter the appearance of your
leather. We can not apply a finish to your tanned leather, or re-dye to
change the color. When you send leather for custom work, you should
first inspect it carefully. Note scars and flaws and decide if they will
be acceptable in finished products. We assume that if you send us
leather you have examined it, approved it, and intend that we use it.
Measurements: Please submit measurements for garment using
our Measurement Form. Please verify measurements before sending.
Access Measurement Form.  Color: We can not change the color of your hides. Nor can we apply a finish to your hides. We assume if you send us leather, you intend us to use it as it is.
Delivery: Custom work takes time and
you should plan on it. In fairness to all, we handle custom orders on a
first come, first served basis, and several weeks are necessary. Please
plan accordingly and order well in advance of your actual
needs...especially for the busy fall/holiday season.
